We wouldn't exist without our customers so we aim at providing the best customer service possible with the lowest possible prices in order to provide you with the best shopping experience on the web.

Accounts

If you haven't shopped at our site before, please set up an account.  Customers who shopped at our old site (prior to June 2016) will still have to create a new account.  A Micron Instruments account will allow you to:

  • Keep a wish list for future orders
  • Store your information securely
  • Come back to your shopping cart at a future time
  • Track your past orders

Note to international customers, when you set up your address, under State/Province, you will want to use "Other (Non U.S.)".  You can set up an account here. 

How To Check Your Order History

When you log in, your name will appear in the upper right hand corner above the search box.  Click on your name and your order history will appear at the bottom of the page.

Wish List

You can keep a wish list of any items you may want to purchase in the future.  Once you add items to your wish list, you can easily move them over to your shopping cart with a single click when you are ready to make your purchase.  Please note that items may not stay in your shopping cart once you leave the site.  Your wish list is the best place to keep items for future purchases.

  • Log into your account
  • Find items you may want to purchase later
  • Click Add to Wishlist button
  • At the top right corner, click "My Wish List" at any time.
  • Move items from your wish list to your shopping cart to purchase those items.

We depend on our customer’s feedback to let us know what products or features are missing from our site.  If you are looking for a product or service that we don't currently list in our site, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We would be happy to special order any item that is available at no additional charge.

      Payment Options

      We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for secure online shopping. You may also send us a money order, bank draft or international money order.
      Checks are accepted, but orders will be held until the check clears.

      What does "Special Order" mean? 

      We stock 99% of all products listed . Some of the listings state, "This item is a special order. Please allow 10 days for processing. " This means that we order these items on an as sold basis. 

      We do not charge your card until we receive the special order items and ship your order.

      Shipping Note.

      Please note that Flat-Rate Priority Mail and International Flat-Rate Priority Mail is not available for some items due to the size limitations of the flat-rate service.

      Order Processing Times

      We try to process all orders within 48 hours.  For items we have in stock, orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. For back orders and items not in stock, orders are usually processed within 7 to 14 days, with the occasional exceptions of import or special-order items. It really depends on how quickly we can get the items from the manufacturers.  Generally, within 2 weeks you will be notified of the status of your order.  As soon as we get your items, they will be shipped. You will receive an email confirmation that your order has been shipped.

      Sales Tax

      Sales Tax is calculated using Avalara Tax Program.
      If your order has tax added then we have met certain thresholds in that state and are by law obligated to collect and pay the tax automatically to that state.  Tax is based on the Ship to Location.
